    • Patty Farmer is in her fourth year as a Career Counselor at SPU. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts from Michigan State University and a Certification as a Career Development Facilitator from the University of Washington. She has worked in a variety of settings to include Career Advisor at The Art Institute of Seattle, Career Management Consultant for Right Management, Instructor for Career Exploration classes at Bellevue College and Career Consultant working with private clients. In addition, Patty has experience as an Account Executive in Magazine Publishing, Sales Representative in the Health Club industry and working as a Paralegal.
    • Patty enjoys working with students and alumni that are searching for career and vocational direction. Her personal mission is to encourage and coach them in the career exploration and job finding process. Her passion is helping others identify their God-given strengths and talents and develop a language in which to articulate them. Her goal is to provide students/alumni with the tools and resources to then uncover the settings where they can begin to use their gifts in a career/job that brings them satisfaction and fulfillment.
    • Besides teaching and counseling at SPU, Patty enjoys spending time with her husband and two college aged sons, especially traveling together. She is an avid skier, runner and bikes to work in the spring whenever the weather cooperates.
